This form was isolated by Ron Gagliardo the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the registrant icps in 1998. The color varies according to the exposure, it is green and burgundy in winter and takes a burgundy color if exposed to direct sunlight in summer. Its leaves are prostrate in winter and erect in summer.

Drosera nord américain. Il forme des feuilles filiformes qui se déroule de 20 à 50 cm vers le haut recouvertes de nombreux cils glanduleux qui se teintent de rouge au soleil. Il produit un hibernacle pourvu de bourre en son centre, qui lui permet de résister au froid et le protège des intempéries jusqu'au printemps.
